·         The Underground & Wall Cable Detector consists of a transmitter, receiver, and accessories. The new integrated devices and digital circuit technology ensure stable and reliable electrical performance. Based on signal changes, the specific location and fault point of buried cables or pipelines can be accurately detected.

·         This device is suitable for the construction, maintenance, and overhaul of power cables, communication cables, electric heating lines, and building pipelines.

·         Precautions:

o    Before each use, inspect the detector and test leads for any damage. Ensure that the detector and the test leads are in good working condition.

o    When using the detector, ensure the rated voltage of the line under test does not exceed 400V.

o    If the transmitter is connected to a live circuit and the ground jack on the transmitter is connected to the protective ground, leakage current in the power supply line and the transmitter's loop current may combine. This could cause the Residual Current Device (RCD) or Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) to trip, leading to disconnection.

·         Characteristics:

o    Detecting the path of cables, electrical lines, and water or gas pipelines buried in walls or underground;

o    Identifying breaks and short circuits in cables and electrical lines buried in walls or underground;

o    Locating fuses and their circuits;

o    Detecting covered outlets and distribution boxes;

o    Pinpointing the direction, breakpoint, and short-circuit location of electric heating lines under floors.

·         Three most common uses and wiring methods

o    Locating the cable route:

§  Connect the red clip to the target cable and the black clip to the ground (for multi-core cables, it is recommended to ground the other cores as well).

§  The receiver tracks the signal along the cable, indicating the cable's direction.

o    Locating a cable breakpoint:

§  Connect the red clip to the broken cable and the black clip to the ground (for multi-core cables, all other cores must be grounded together).

§  The receiver follows the signal along the cable. It will emit a signal before the breakpoint but stop emitting once it passes the breakpoint.

o    Locating a short circuit:

§  Connect the red clip to the target cable and the black clip to the ground (for multi-core cables, it is recommended to ground the other cores as well).
